This is caused by IE and how it handles HTTPS links.
To solve this:
- Right-click on the ‘download your license file’ link in your license email and select ‘copy hyperlink’
- Paste the license file link into Notepad
- Edit the URL by removing the ‘S’ from the HTTPS so that it now reads HTTP
- Paste the modified URL into your browser and press the Enter key on your keyboard
You should now be able to register successfully.

If you are running the Safeguard Administration system on your own server then check to see if /ll-master/ is in the URL. If it is then this is the cause of the problem – see The folder ll-master is appearing in the Viewer license files URL
