Issue: Administration System is showing the user account as registered but the user says they have not registered successfully

This is because the Viewer software cannot write to the keystore files to update the information sent back from the administration system.

This might be because of:

  • restrictive rights on the keystore files (write access has been denied)
  • you tried registering whilst NOT logged on as a an administrator
  • a firewall has prevented incoming traffic from the administration system

To solve this follow the steps below:

  1. Install the Viewer software as the administrative user
  2. Make sure your firewall software allows PDCViewer.exe to access the Internet for both outgoing and incoming traffic
  3. Register as the administrative user
  4. Grant read/write/modifty permissions to “Everyone” and to “admin” as well as the administrative user for the keystore files
