FAQ: When I import customer records to the Admin System it fails. Why?

Importing a csv file adds customer records to the database and does not overwrite records already in the database. If there are customers with the same name AND email address, this will cause the csv upload to fail rather than overwrite the previous record. When this happens, the administration system will also display why the operation failed.

If only one field is the duplicated (e.g. just the user name), it will create a new customer record.
