FAQ: How do I make my Android device not rooted or disable USB debugging?

Rooted Devices

Follow these instructions:

  1. Go to Google Play Store
  2. Search for Root Detector and install
  3. Run Root Detector and tap “Yes” when asked if you think your device is rooted
  4. If answer is “Rooted” then continue (if no then your device is likely not rooted)
  5. Go to Google Play Store again
  6. Search for “supersu” and install
  7. Open SuperSU and follow its startup prompts
  8. Go to “settings”
  9. Scroll to the very bottom and choose “Full Unroot”
  10. Once complete, SuperSU should be automatically removed
  11. Reboot your Android device by holding the power button and shutting down
  12. Once re-started, run Root Detector and tap “Yes” when asked if you think your device is rooted

It should now say “Not rooted”.  The viewer should run once you have the “Not rooted” confirmation.

 

If the Viewer will still not run, check that none of the following apps are installed:

 

Turning off USB Debugging

Go to Android settings-> Developer options-> USB debugging and select the OFF option.

If you don’t see the Developer options in settings you have to turn it on by tapping 10 times on the “Build number” in the Android Settings-> About device.
